Incredibly, Shirley Webb only started going to the gym two years ago but now makes sure she exercises at least twice a week.
A 78-year-old grandma who could barely pull herself out of her chair can now deadlift more than 225lbs (16st) - much to the astonishment of her family and friends.
Incredible Shirley Webb, from East Alton, Illinois, only joined the gym two years ago, when mowing the lawn was her only form of exercise.
She also struggled to get out of her chair and was forced to always hold the handrail while climbing up and down stairs.
But that's when she decided to make a change and joined the gym in an attempt to build up her strength and fitness.
Now, Shirley has set the Illinois record for deadlifting at 237 pounds both in age and weight groups.
The amazing footage has been liked more than 75,500 times since being shared.
The video was uploaded to Instagram by Shirley's trainer John Wright, who wrote: "Shirley is 78 years old but she can deadlift 225 pounds three times."
Shirley told ESPN: "When I go to the gym and work out, when I leave, I feel so much better than I did when I went in, and I just feel so good.
"I feel tremendous.
