How to Be Visible On Google in a Competitive Industry with a Limited Budget

The first thing you want to do is start doing round up posts. Start by creating a blog to your website. Once you have a blog, interview every single expert within your space. Google things like “top marketers, Top SEO Specialists” there are many blogs out there. You need to contact them, and say you want to include them in your round up post. A round up post, is asking the opinion of all key influences within your niche, essentially you are asking them the same question, and seeing what everyone within your niche thinks about that one question.

For example, “How to remove unhealthy backlinks from your website”, once you get all responses, create a blog post about it, make sure you link over back to their websites, include their face, and image within the blog posts, and once its released, email them and ask them to share your content. It’s a great way to get more social shares, when you get more social shares, you get more visitors, the more visitors you get, and a portion may even link to you. The more links you get, the more your rankings will climb. This is great for the website owner, and great for the influences that you interview because it gets them more free exposure on your website. You also need to share this through all available social platforms.

The next thing you can do to get more social traffic is to Google “SEO Book Keyword Density”. Use the free tool to enter the URL of all your competitors who rank for a specific keyword that you want to rank for.

What this does is, it shows you all the key phrases that your competitors are using on their website, and the keyword density. The more they use a specific phrase, the more it tells Google what the page is about. This does not mean that you should now stuff your content with the same keywords over and over again. Instead, should rather be thorough, what Google likes doing is, that the more thorough a page, the more in-depth the content covers a specific topic, the higher that webpage ranks, even if you have less backlinks, and social shares than others. Google always wants to provide to rank the page that provides the most value to the user.

If you look at all the key phrases that people are using who rank on page one, and include these keywords within your webpage, and you are really thorough, going more in-depth than everyone else, you will increase your rankings over time.

Search for a phrase that you want to rank for, and look at all the Ads that appear at the top and the bottom of the page. Look at their Titles, and Descriptions for the Ads. Google AdWords base the rankings on where you are in the paid rankings based on how much you spend per click, and how appealing your ad is. The more appealing the ad copy, the clicks you will receive.

The same goes for organic, the more appealing your title tags, your copy that you show Google and the Meta Description – the more clicks you are going to get, and the more clicks you get, the higher your rankings climb. There are 10 listings on ever pages, and if everyone is clicking on the 8th listing instead of the 2nd second listing, Google will realise that this listing is more valuable and place it above that result.

Consider using the date within the Title tag, use adjectives, and words like “Now, fast, try, and free” increase click through. Test these words within your title and meta description, you should find that you will get more traffic, more clicks, and your rankings will climb even if you’re in a competitive industry and you can’t spend the money that the big corporations are spending. These big companies move slow, so this gives you the opportunity to move fast, and you can get results quicker.
